Proofd collects information necessary to investigate bribery claims, route reports geographically, verify evidence, and disburse rewards:

• User Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and password credentials.
• Guest & Anonymous Mode Identifiers: In Guest Mode, no personal identity is required. The application generates a localized device reference ID saved locally to allow you to track your claims safely.
• Incident Report Data: When filing a report, we collect category details, narrative descriptions, incident timestamps, and bribe amounts.
• Geolocation Data: With your explicit device permission, we collect precise latitude and longitude coordinates and use reverse geocoding to identify human-readable incident addresses.
• Uploaded Evidence Files: Media proof you voluntarily attach—such as photos, receipts, documents, audio recordings, or videos—is uploaded to secure storage to support official investigation.

2. How We Use Collected Information

Your data is strictly utilized for anti-corruption investigation and platform administration:

• To verify bribery complaints and route incident reports to authorized vigilance officers.
• To generate reverse geocoded street addresses for accurate regional jurisdiction assignment.
• To calculate whistleblower point levels and issue digital reward vouchers.
• To audit reviewing officer actions by recording reviewing officer credentials into verified case files.
• To send system alerts regarding report status changes, claim approvals, and voucher issuance.

3. Information Storage & Protection

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect whistleblower information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure:

• End-to-end transport layer security (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transfers.
• Role-based database security access policies restricting complaint review to authorized vigilance personnel.
• Cloud Object Storage with restricted access keys for attached evidence files.
• Audit logging of reviewing officer actions to prevent unauthorized tampering with case files.

4. Third-Party Services

Proofd integrates trusted third-party service providers to deliver authentication, database, storage, and mapping functionality:

• Supabase Services: Managed authentication, PostgreSQL database infrastructure, and cloud file storage.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim API: Reverse geocoding services used to convert GPS coordinates into readable location text.

We do not sell, rent, or trade whistleblower data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.

5. Notification Permissions

The application requests permission to send notifications to keep you informed of critical updates regarding your submitted complaints, officer notes, and voucher code releases. You can manage or disable notification permissions anytime in your device settings.

6. Data Retention

Report filings, evidence documents, and officer verification records are retained for historical audit trails and ongoing vigilance inquiries. Account information is maintained as long as your account remains active. Upon receiving an account deletion request, your profile credentials will be permanently erased within 14 business days.

7. User Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to access, update, or request the erasure of your personal data. Registered users can initiate account deletion at any time by visiting our Account Deletion Page or contacting support.

8. Children's Privacy

Proofd is an anti-corruption reporting platform intended for general civic use and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
